Unfavourable Streamyx line here also totally kills. Imagine having to refresh a webpage every single time you want to enter it. However, strangely enough the idiotic speed has not affected any downloading as of yet. Hmm. Mystery indeed.
As of late, have been going to classes as usual, trying to eat healthily, watching lots of variety shows and procrastinating when it comes to assignments. Where is my mo-jo I ask you? Le sigh.
Also, have been regularly going to the gym. It has been approximately a month since all the must-be-healthy hype came about. Lucky for me, I have some awesome gym partners to thank for guiding me as a gym noob. Have been doing bicycle exercises as cardio which totally burns the thighs and have been doing strength training as well with dumbbells. I think I am quite addicted to dumbbells at the present moment. The ache you feel after is just therapeutic.
To add to the list of exercises, I purchased a pink Yoga mat a couple of days back and have begun doing floor exercises at home which includes lots of variations of ab crunches and scissor kicks and bicycle kicks and what-not. My abs are aching as we speak but I will not give up! Roar!
Have I lost a ton of weight? No. Just a teensy teensy bit but admittedly, I do feel better. My thighs aren't that flabby anymore and my stomach doesn't seem to protrude out as much as before. My arms feel a lot toner and I kinda like it.
Will I ever achieve an ideal body where people will stop calling me fat? I don't know but as of now, I should remind myself that I am doing this to get fit and not for other purposes. As seen on an article I read online, it's a lot better to be overweight and fit compared to ideal weight and unfit. People who are unfit supposedly die faster than fit people. Ahem.
A couple of us will also be taking part in the first UTAR Perak Campus 10 km run happening on 24th July. Woo! Not exactly planning to run cos I don't think I have that much of a stamina yet but will just be going for the experience and the free t-shirt XD Meh.
Things with FYP have also begun looking up. I have been given the green light to distribute my questionnaires and my supervisor has been less bitchier and a lot nicer. Okay, on my previous consultation to see him last week, he was actually a ton nicer to me and was all smiley and friendly. He said a lot of nice things to me of which I'm pretty shy to write down but I'm glad things are looking up now.
Anyway, overdue photos as usual!
You've probably seen this photo on my FB but yes, made a day trip down to KL with Cheryl and Sooi Pheng to shop, destress and nomz.
Really bought a ton of very nice clothes so was pretty happy with the trip.
Picked up this paprika mask at Sasa for half price when I was there. I admit I am sucker for cute things.
It's yellow and has small bead-like things inside. It doesn't smell like paprika in case you're wondering =/
Bought a packet of Korean rice cakes when I was down in KL as well and made ddeokbokki one fine day!
It was not bad but I reckon I should have let the sauce thicken a bit more before adding the rest of the ingredients.
My ddeokbokki dream has finally been realized. I have another half packet of it in the fridge of which I'll cook when I find the motivation to do so. Our induction broke down AGAIN so we've been using the rice cooker to cook mostly. Le sigh.
Sometimes I pity my poor DSLR. Haven't had a proper opportunity to shoot with it. Ah wellz.
Till then.
