Enough nerdy talk.
With that being said, I shall have to pressure myself to actually study since I have been quite laid back these days. Derek the lame is currently pressuring me to hit the books now. I don't know what sort of mental disorder he has now la. However, since I love all of you I shall just continue updating my blog first because an update is well, due anyways. And Derek is problematic hurhurhur. I kid =P
A good reason why I have not started studying for the Dreaded Finals is because of the Newspaper assignment. It has been an acute pain on my side for the past week BECAUSE there were so many problems with it lo. Printing problems, size problems, layout problems, you name it. I've altered it for a good 4 times I reckon and we finally got it printed today. Submission is tomorrow so phew, over and done with.

Our end product lalala. Actually there are still some minor errors on the newspaper. IE: Sidebar page numbers do not tally with the actual page numbers and there are no page numbers (we wrote them in with pen). Nothing much can be done anyway and we've managed to convince ourselves that the most important thing is the CONTENT. =/

The process wasn't easy and writing the news was equally terrible. I shall never be a journalist because this is seriously not my thing at all. =(

Anyway, I reckon it doesn't look too bad.

Can see one of my fave pics from the Welcoming Concert on the left.

The back cover.
Photos taken are quite the blur cos they were taken in a rush. A friend of a friend was going to help us submit it tomorrow so we had to pack it nicely to be delivered.
Sounds like food all of a sudden.
On a random note, my bowel movements have been so so frequent these days. Yes, it's a good thing I reckon.
Ehem. Moving along now.
The final presentation of the semester was the Oral Communication one which I mentioned in one of my past posts. Our groups were randomly selected through the drawing of lots and I got my friend and usual assignment group mate Sharmilla and two Communications and Networking students who were Sandy and Zhen Fun. So, we had a balanced group of 2 girls and boys, and also 2 EL students and 2 CN students. Nice le. Haha.
Anyway, after much discussion/teasing/staying back in uni/online discussions/etc etc, we finally presented our presentation today entitled 'Internet World vs Visual World' and I think we did fine. Well, as long as the lecturer doesn't stop you in the middle of the presentation, it's good. And as long as there are people actually listening to you, it's all fine. Haha. Anyway, we'll only know the marks next week so fingers crossed till then.
I must say, I feel blessed being in the group I am in because we did work quite well together. There were not much complaints and such when discussions were needed and the entire thing was put together so efficiently. So kudos to our 'family'. HAHA.
Took some photos after the presentation. These photos are from Zhen Fun's phone camera. The one from Cheryl's digi cam are still with her so yeah, still pending.

Happy family lalalala. From left is Sandy Christian, a partially hidden Sharmilla and Zhen Fun. The one in front is obviously me la. On a random note, my hair is getting long liao! I'm actually quite proud of this achievement. =D
Sandy's from Jakarta and has quite a nice accent. He's the first International student Sharmilla and I have met so we're quite err privelaged. Has a lot of 'philosophy' on love which he comes up with himself and we enjoy teasing and annoying him. HAHA. I know la quite mean but it's only for fun really.

Yet another happy family photo but this time in a more 'free-style' mode. Zhen Fun was quite the cute when we mentioned free style. Cheryl kept asking him to do some 'free style pose' and he said, "I dunno how to free." Hahahahaha.

This photo cracks me up whenever I see it. Zhen Fun looks like a father here and we look like his children. Lol!

Big, big happy group photo with 2 other groups who were presenting that day. Since I am quite free now, I shall introduce you to them all. I reckon I seldom mention my uni mates in this blog. Hmm. Anyway starting from the back row, from left to right, we have Mark (fellow EL coursemate who also stays on the same floor in the same apartment block as me. We did not have much of a good impression of him last sem BUT this sem, we got to be good friends I guess after knowing his true colours. At least he's a Real friend unlike those ehem pretentious people around.), Zhen Fun the cute who needs no introduction, Daryl also fellow EL coursemate, Brian aka EL coursemate, PJ from CN, Sandy aka Hamsap Uncle hahaha who also needs no introduction, Chee Cheong Fun aka Jz aka Jun Zheng the CN class rep who so nicely got us famous Teluk Intan chee cheong fun (more on that later) and Song Sang, also from CN.
In front from left we have the lovely Cheryl Ambrose who is a good friend and assignment mate and EL coursemate of mine, yours truly, Amber also an EL coursemate, Sze Wan who is my friend aka coursemate aka Mark's housemate and Sharmilla.
Yeah, we look quite the happy family here. Haha.
Anyway, all the photo-taking got my quite in trouble with Stippie Chee. He had to wait for me at the backgate of the uni for around 20 minutes cos he had to take the newspaper file from me and send it for printing. We cycled back to the apartment together cos the file was backed up in my laptop. Soon after retrieving the file it started raining which lasted for hours and naturally he got mad at me.
Obviously he was busy pmsing la cos raining has nothing to do with me wad. Unless I am God which I apparently am not. So after yelling around at him for a bit, he went back to being normal. We spent the rest of the afternoon having a chat with Mark and Sze Wan who dropped by my place and then they went off for printing with Mark who caught a ride in his friend's car.
Since it was getting late, Stippie decided to have dinner in Eastlake. In his own words, his virgin dinner. Tsk tsk. Was too lazy to cook so we walked under the drizzle to Bamboo cafe, the nearest coffee shop to the apartment.

Sze Wan and Stippie Chee. Tsk tsk.

The lovable housemate baobei Ai Ling doing something to her ...teeth.
Now, let us divert our attention to Teluk Intan chee cheong fun (ccf).

Jun Zheng is Cheryl's group mate for the presentation and is from Teluk Intan. We heard a lot of rumours claiming that Teluk Intan has very good ccf. So on a fine day, we requested him to tapao for us since he does go back to Teluk Intan every weekend or something and he did. In fact, he actually pre-ordered the ccf since he was worried that it will be sold out and we will think that he did not want to take away for us. I think the noisy impression we left him must have scared him. Haha.

Anyway being the very nice boy that he is, he delivered 6 packets of ccf to us on a Monday morning which we escaped from Journalism lectures for a bit to claim it from him. When we asked how much it was, he paused for a bit and then said that it was his treat. Truth be told, we are not even good friends. In fact, we've only said Hi and Bye to him (well, except for Cheryl since they do have to discuss their presentation and all) and are practically strangers lo. We said NO, of course but he insisted at first but of course we insisted on paying as well.
After knowing the price on Tuesday (RM 3 per pack) I actually felt quite touched that he would actually waste RM 18 on ccf for strangers. I mean if we were just people who talk the talk, we could have said that we did not want his ccf anymore and left him stranded with 6 packets of ccf but thank goodness we're not that evil la.
The taste? Very, very nice. I find it interesting that there are bits of mushrooms, garlic and shrimp embedded in the layers of the ccf. It went very well with the green chilli as well which was sweet. Portion wise, it was big and I felt full after having it for lunch. Yum.
Dinner photos below. I think we had this on a Monday.

Baked nuggets and spicy wedges.

Chilli and tomato cocktail sausages with garlic.
Hence, this ends my post.
Till my next update.
