NO WORRIES though. This will still be a photo photo post because I've uploaded my photos into Photobucket already. YAY!
However, I still feel very =.='''
Couple of events to blog about eversince my disappearance last week which was not missed by many tsk tsk.
I shall start off with photos of our magazine assignment. I think I've mentioned briefly in one of my posts that we had a magazine assignment due. Anyway, after hours and hours of staring at the lappie, we managed to come up with something that was pretty neat. At least for me, that is.
Behold...

Our cover of the magazine! The concept of the magazine was more to a student-budgeted lifestyle one where we show readers that life still can be fun even while living within a budget. Hmm. I think I stole the previous sentence from our magazine proposal. HAHA!
Of couse, since it was our magazine and our production, we figured using ourselves as cover page models was erm, relevant.

Although it is just a mock magazine, advertisements were still necessary so I came up with a few using the photos that I had. Which I now don't have since it is all deleted. FML. I feel very =.='''

These pages were quite Seventeen and Cleo magazine inspired which explains the similar designs. The items for the star buy under RM 25 were stolen from the Topshop website if you must know. Yes, we are allowed to steal things from about for this assignment. The original idea was actually to snap photos of items that we had and paste it up but the job was too much so I resorted to this. To select the items, I chose the ones that resembled to clothes and accessories that are available in Times Square and Sungei Wang.

Lalala. Quick recipe page with the main page of our feature article. Ai Ling, the featured person in our feature article, was to undergo a challenge which is to spend RM 100 or less in a day for her shopping, food and miscellaneous expenditures. Obviously we came up with the storyline ourselves and Ai Ling did not have to undergo any of this nonsense la. Haha.

Continued version of the feature article plus 2 advertisements, as you can see.

Our budget and health page.

And ze back cover which consists of an advertisement as well which I am a bit lazy to rotate la cos Photobucket is lagging.

This is a super backdated photo during the trip when I went to shop alone while waiting for my sis to come. I quite liked this checkered dress thing but the boob part was quite weird cos it made it look pointy. Hmmm.

Nasi lemak! Late lunch with the sis at a cafe near Sungei Wang. It was YUM.

Mango and prawn salad I reckon.

We also had Turkish ice-cream! The ice-cream man was so charming la really. He had all these little tricks to make people really happy lo. Haha.

This is from the trip down with the coursemates. Cheryl and I shared this dessert. It's some red bean thing which was nice. We had lunch at a cafe called Little Penang (I think that's the name) before shopping at Times Square aka Fave Bargain Finds place =D

My Mee Jawa. For the price paid (RM 4 or RM 4.50), the portion was quite big.

Cheryl's curry meehoon. Also very yum.

Here's a random photo of my beyoootiful suede bag which I got for Rm 35.90. It's one of my new shopping bags, apart from the radio one that is. I used this for the Ipoh trip last week (more on that later) and it was so handy dandy.

Cannot really see la but the suede material is nicey nicey.

Alas, something close to 3 sour of Miri! This is a mixture of lemon, kalamansi and honey which was nice as well. Haha.
I'll continue with more food and shopping after this for now, I am in the mood to blog about my new shoes, customized by Arthur! They are the cutest things on earth really =D

Lalala. Behold, the cuteness I am wearing on my feet. This entire outfit is what I would call my Lazy Monday outfit because Monday morning lectures are such a pain to attend. Anyway, I couldn't decide which photo was better so why not post up 3? =D
On a random note, I super love the comfy pants I am wearing in the outfit above because not only is it super comfy and baggy, it is cheap as well! RM 19, which I bought from my Ipoh trip (more on that later)
More cuteness magnified.

When I told Arthur how I wanted the shoes to be, I had no idea what design he came up with. Anyway, The Wait was pretty exciting as I really wanted to know how it would turn out.

When The Wait came to an end, it was time for The Moment Of Truth. Part of me was a bit worried that I would not like the design BUT after viewing them, I fell in love with its cuteness and declared that it was very Me!

The next wait was for The Wait to Put These Babies On. Now, there was a bit of drama with the Post Laju with this one. I was still in uni when the postman delivered the shoes to the empty apartment cos Ai Ling also had class. So, he left The Dreaded Pink Note at the door, asking me to claim it at the post office.

The post office is located in the old town so naturally, to go there, I had to take a bus or taxi and with so many things going on, that would be difficult. So, after ranting to Ai Ling, I called the post office to ask the lady if they could send the shoes again and she said No. Then she went on to say that the postman will not answer calls during his round which is quite absurd once you come to think of it. I mean if there was an emergency at the work place which he has to know about if he is out, then how are you gonna look for him right?
So I asked her to give me the postman's num so I can call him myself but she was unwilling to do so. Hmmph. Stupid cow.

To cut a long story short, the postman delivered the shoes to me again (after 4-5 calls to the stupid post office) just as I was getting ready to go for my next class at 3 pm.

Due to the very tight and secure packaging by Arthur, they arrived in one piece and I was once again a very happy girl.

I'm sorry, the shoes are a teensy bit dirty because I took these photos after a day of trudging around in them in Ipoh. Very the comfy.

I have this habit of staring at them intently when I have them on really. The colours attract me so.
Thanks again, Arthur for painting these shoes! They are still very amazing =)

Dear coursemate Sooi Pheng came to spend the night at my place before the Sunday of the Ipoh trip. We had a spaghetti dinner. The only thing not very nice about the spaghetti was the sticky pasta which was quite mushy.
Most of my spendings were done at Etude House so after that, I decided to not buy anything unless it was super necessary. Apart from the RM 19 comfy pants, I surprisingly did not buy any other clothes. So super proud please =D
We discovered a Thai exhibition on the ground floor and found that they sold Thai delicacies as well! We immediately decided to have some Thai cuisine for lunch.

Both of these were from the 2 for RM 5 section. I shall call it savoury ondeh-ondeh and sweet ondeh-ondeh because I have no idea what it is called. The savoury one was really nice. It had this filling which seems to be made out of..shrimp paste maybe? The sweet one tasted typically like ondeh-ondeh.

This is the bomb! Mango sticky rice.

The coconute milk didn't really taste like coconut milk. It had a milder taste and the creaminess of it was just delectable. All of it blended well together. The mangoes were superly sweet too.

Tomyam FAIL. It was very salty and sour at the same time. The Tesco one still rocks.

Tesco Tomyam which is very the nice.

Unrotated photo of Ai Ling and I in one of the shops in Ipoh Parade. My top consists of a blue frilly top thing and a ruffly skirt paired with leggings. It doesn't seem so obvious here lo.

Spoils from Etude House. The pink shop has such a holding power that you feel like getting something everytime you go there. Sigh.

Bought this box from the 100 Yen shop. It's actually for tools or medicines but I thought it would be good for bangles. Haha.

Behold. My burn mark. This was taken a few hours after the incident. Can see a tiny Nike sign on it. The white dots are the antiseptic cream.
Over the past few days and weeks, the burn actually got darker and darker. With the bandaging and medicine application, the wound is now dry and the dry skin is peeling off, leaving a pinkish skin look behind. I don't think they'll be any scarring.
Anyway, happy Monday to all! Hello to awful 8 am lectures for me =(
Till then.
