Bye bye enlarged turbinates

I have decided to go along with the 'burning thing' (as to how I refer to it. The ENT doc refers it to that too when I consulted him about this. Haha.)

Not only do I have enlarged turbinates, I also have allergic rhinitis. Two problems, he says. The turbinates can be solved but the allergic rhinitis can only be controlled. I know where I got the allergies from. Hmmph. Haha.

Usually two options are given for enlarged turbinates, one would be an operation procedure to remove the turbinates entirely whilst the other is the burning thing.

I asked him for advice and he told me he suggest I try the burning thing first. However, it is not permanent and might come back in 6-8 month's time. If I control it properly with nasal sprays and such, it might not be as bad as before. The function of the turbinates are to to make the air you breath in moist and warm, by the way.

Owh, and did you know that the body produces 1 litre of mucous a day?

So yes, I reckon I shall be doing this painless (so he says) procedure tomorrow afternoon. The only thing is I'd have really stuffy nose for the next 2 to 3 days after the procedure. Then, everything will be all right.

Not very nervous la actually though I might be during the procedure eh. Haha.
