We are currently neighbour-less at the moment. Heck, we didn't even know they move out until Jang Yee and Derek told us. Ai Ling and I just assumed they were still on their own-timed holidays or something. I shall quite miss them.
Owh, except for the singing one. He was horrendous.
Ai Ling misses her 'short brother' neighbour a lot now. Heeheehee.
Anyhowzers (woo just made up a new word =D), semester 2 started today. Classes were quite alright. Seeing that I only had Journalism I and Introduction to Mass Communication today. From this day forth, I shall have to read more newspapers and such. I don't know why, but I got this feeling that we had to be well-versed in Malaysian politics. I know how some people are passionate about and all but it's just not one of my interests. Lots of reading and research has to be done and I just got my individual assignment for Mass Comm, something to do with comparing and contrasting a newspaper article from Malaysia and overseas. Right. How fun.
Connection back here is quite crappish. I thought the one at home wasn't fast enough but this is worse. Maybe they're line-stealers about. Hmmph.
While waiting for photobucket to upload them photos, which is what I'm doing now, I watched the X-Japan video again on my previous post. Eh, I just realised that one of the guitarists there is quite cute! It's not the long hair one la okay. It's the other shorter hair one. Quite cute right quite cute right?
ANYWAY! Shall do a continuation of the Sibu adventure.
And I'm on Restaurant City now. So random I know.
So after we (finally) reached Sibu, we drove around to look for EON. Wasn't easy you know.
After the drama-rama of finding the place was over, we headed to the nearest coffee shop for a drink. Now, cousin Ben was quite obsessed with Kampua mee during that period of time and since the coffee shop did have it, we ordered it.

Had the black sauce one and it was halal. Was too salty but the portion was big. We were convinced this was not the original kampua. Hurhur.
Mom's friend came to pick us up after a while and we headed to her place since we were staying there for a night. She lived in a shophouse which reminded me so much of my paternal grandma's old place near SRK Chung Hua last time. It was indeed good fun, back in those days where we played hide and seek, house and 'ghosts' all around the place.

Old, old mirror we found in one of the rooms. The house definitely had an old-fashioned comfort to it.
The next day, mom's friend treated us to breakfast.

Forgot the name of this dish but it's something like wantan and soup. Add some vinegar and pepper and it is indeed a very yummy dish.

"Will the real Kampua Mee please stand up?"
Hurhur.
This was much nicer than the one we had on the previous day. It is kind of similar to kolo mee actually but there is this distinct taste which makes it different. The pork meat wasn't dyed red too. The noodles were also softer.

"Eh, take my picture, take my picture."
The crazy-obsessed Kampua lover.
After breakfast, we caught the band competition.

My mom, me and her friend with my bro, who looked very tense. Taken before results were announced.
We couldn't stay on till the results cos we had to pick up the car at EON at 12.00 pm.
After the pick up, we went off to have lunch at this place.

Very, very good chicken and soup. It was sweet and sour and oh-so yummy. Some tofu behind there.

Midin and red wine!! =D

Mani chai mani chai. Oilier the better. It's true wad. Ask anyone.
We went back, packed and headed back to dear ol' Miri after the meal. Trip back was very uneventful after that.
Other random food pics. Don't you just love Sarawak food? Eat, eat and eat. Yum.
Dim summed at Grand Palace with the family after church last week.

Not bad not bad.

My brother reckons this is made out of butter. Don't think so la. Kua.

I <3 specials & sarsi cincau. Yum. Myyy PreciouSSS~

Ubi ubi and prawn fritters and the whole lot. Yumness.

Laksa Sarawak!! =D
Anyway, time to wrap up this post. I've been on it since 5 something but got kind of distracted in finishing it.
It is now 10.40 pm.
Till then.
