I should sleep earlier

I woke up with a one sided headache today. I reckon I should start sleeping earlier. Ever since I got back to Kampar, I've been sleeping at around 11 or 12 am most of the time. Today marks the last day of my 4-day holiday and classes shall resume tomorrow. Have quite a few group assignments with deadlines looming near. Not to mention a debate thing for critical thinking and writing class in which I would have to prepare for. Can someone please tell me how to prepare a debate speech? I was thinking of going for first speaker.

Anyway, some photos ahead! Let's start on Friday.

Ai Ling and I had dinner at KFC (Tesco) and went to buy some cooking ingredients. I thought of making green bean congee but since Tesco did not have any, we settled for red beans instead. We also bought some sago and coconut milk to go with the congee. And also some cream of corn. The first few tries proved futile when I burnt the bottom of the pan. After the failed attempts, success eventually took over =D

Sago and red beans boiling in the pot.

While waiting. Bet you haven't seen my face in ages. Hoho.

Anyway, the end result (after 2 hours of attempts) as below.

This was just fresh out from the pot. It was..pretty good actually. Like ang tao peng. Haha.

The chilled version. Equally as nice.

Owh, I forgot to add this to the series of unfortunate events. Since Ai Ling and I decided to head out to the new town on Saturday, we were told to wait for the bus that says Bandar Baru. Let me say that the bus service here is terrible. We were waitin well over half an hour when a bus finally arrived. It was not to the Bandar Baru but to the old town instead. Pretending to be clever, we decided to hop on it, thinking that it would by pass the new town or something. As soon as we were making our way to our seats, the bus for Bandar Baru arrived right behind =.= So we wasted another hour waiting for the Bandar Baru bus at the old town. Haih. What is this.

More foodie photos to make me happy.

Nai you chi fan at Bandar Baru. Comes with soup! Rm 4.50. Very satisfactory.

We also made spaghetti for dinner! *Proud.

Topped with cheese powder.

All the mushroom goodness. *slurps.

It was good.

Sunday was the day we had our Chap Goh Meh BBQ. It was held at Derek's place since he has the equipment and things.

Photobucket
The preparation team. Hoho.

Photobucket
A portion of the food. Marshmallows, fish balls, white button mushrooms, sausages, crabsticks, chicken wing, bishop nose, beef and sweet potato to name a few. The white button mushrooms were really quite yummy when BBQed! Succulent and juicy. And Derek is allergic to mushrooms. Let's laugh at him now. HAHA!

We were joined by french fries and fishes later. The fishes were caught by Derek. Not bad eh? We marinated it with lemon juice and garlic.

BBQing has begun.

Photobucket
The process.

Photobucket
Honeyfied crabsticks and sausages.

It was fun. We finished the session with a 7-up and cocktail fruit mix. Bliss.

To end this post, I shall let you have a sneak peek of my latest project.

Photobucket
A little cacat la some bits but first time mah. Haha. Shall post a pic of the completed thing when I am done with it. If I get it done that is, haha.

Shall now be off to...research for the debate and some other group projects. Le sigh.

Till then.
