So, yes, today is the first official day of unemployment. I planned to really sleep in but was woken up at around 8 am by a phone call from the center. At first, I was pretty worried that they were gonna ask me to go back to work due to some unforeseen circumstance but in the end it turned out to be the physiotherapist asking me to take her place for this wedding dinner this Saturday. I was sort of planning to watch the Christmas parade then but if nothing pops up, I shall have to go for the dinner instead. After the call, I wanted to go back to sleep but the next call came in a few minutes after. It was my dad reminding me to go for grandma's for breakfast as she was making noodle soup. Yum.
I gave up on all thoughts of going back to sleep and did some reading instead.
I reckon one day I will be one of those aunties who are always covering themselves up when they drive under the sun. I think I've had the most sun exposure these couple of days compared to these past months. I actually feel bad when I expose my arms to the sun. Or face. Or neck. I might take to wearing a jacket to cover the arms when I drive too. So aunty weih.
Anyway, some photos from the weekend. Basically, I've been out and about mostly. Mom and dad weren't around on Saturday so my brother and I were home alone. Which wasn't so bad la. Hence, we had dinner outside. I asked Amy to come along with her siblings so it was sort of a friends and family thing. Wow, I actually feel so motherly now. Hurhur.
Anyway, photos ahead.

Photo at work taken last Friday, second last day of work. We have Renee, Amy and Jessica, the girl who shall be taking my place in this photo.
Next, some Saturday night photos. We had dinner at the new Seahorse Bistro located just opposite SMK Chung Hua. Menu was rather limited and we had to dine outdoors, in the dim lights because there was this private function going on indoors. At first I didn't know that there was a function going on indoors so the brother and I walked into the indoor dining area and were greeted by a couple of weird glances. Only when we went out of the area did we realize the sign on the door. A bit paiseh. Haha.

I had fish and chips. Portion wise, it wasn't very filling. Thank goodness for the side order of nachos which made everything a bit better. There were also tons of mosquitoes around.
After din din, we headed off to Boulevard because Amy claimed that there was a funfair there. Turned out to be some sort of Terengganu products promotion which was...pretty interesting. After walking around and sweating a ton in the heat, we then headed off to Dessert's for some ice-cream.
No cup of yumminess photo taken but I had blueberry cheesecake and mango ice-cream. =D
Some photos we took there below. Somehow, Amy was very obsessed with the thought of photographing our hands shaping various shapes. Hmm.

Flower.

Star beneath the glass.

Group photo. From left Amy's younger sister Besty (I think that's how you spell it), Amy, my brother, John and me. John is just super cute. He reminds me so much of Shinchan.
There was this scene where there were two guys sitting at the end of the shop. John exclaimed in a loud voice to Besty, "Che, got two handsome guys sitting at the end there. Why don't you choose one?" Haha.

The pointless fists shot.

Another star, now on the surface of the glass.

Hands. See the different skin tones? Haha.
Sunday morning was spent in church and at grandma's house for breakfast and then lunch. Also took the opportunity to give the car a bit of a wash as there was some bird poo stuck on the boot cover.
Then, my brother and I visited cousin Ben who was working at the organic shop and after that, we decided to go for some coconut at Tanjung with Amy and John.

It was a sunny day and the sea was pretty rough. The tide was high was well which sort of scared the crap out of me when the water came speeding to shore and racing back.

The calm rock shot taken from the bridge.

The rough waves crashing over rocks photo.

Random shot taken on the way to the last bridge located pretty near the end of the beach. It was pretty deserted and I was soon to know why.

Proper threesome shot. John was in a bad mood due to some unknown reason which is why he was pretty uncooperative in this photo.

My brotha and a messy haired me.

The waves here were particularly rougher compared to the other bridges. The water practically crashed into the jetty sending splashes of it everywhere. I wanted to take a closer shot but there was this couple busy kissing away pretty near to the spot I wanted to take a photo and they kept shooting me glances when I walked over. Cis, no one asked them to show they affections in public.

After that, we went off for coconut and were joined by cousin Ben and his friends. He treated us to coconut so thanks a lot to that! I kept forcing some money into his hands but he kept refusing. One of his friends deemed us 'weird and funny to watch'. =.=
On the way back, I got a call from my colleague, Renee to drop by her house for a BBQ session. After dinner at grandma's I went there along with my brother again and we had a backyard BBQ with some other colleagues and her friends. Turns out the young radiographer was celebrating his 22nd birthday (according to the Chinese calender). I seriously didn't know so I didn't get him anything but I did wish him happy birthday though. Haha.

BBQ contraption which resembles a red tomato with its cover on.
We had BBQ lamb, chicken, potatoes, sausages and squid. The squid was awesome! As was the lamb.
Went back home when it started to rain and then, Monday came along. Which is today, by the way.
After breakfast at grandma's, my brother and I came back home and we did some onlining. In the afternoon it was time to head to Imperial Mall for some Christmas shopping for the cousins since we were going to have a gift exchange.
I shall show you the presents because I am quite happy with the buys. None of them read my blog anyway so it should be safe.

For cousin Ben, I got him a T-shirt.

I initially wanted to get him one of those shuffly thingies since he's pretty into shuffling but decided against it since it was so expensive. I saw this shuffling jacket in this shop and thought that the jacket was only RM 29.90 but it turned out to be RM 129.90. =.= Hence, I got him a pretty simple yet cheap Baby Milo tee instead. Anyway, isn't Baby Milo a bit of a shuffly thing? Hmm.

Apart from that, I did a bit of clothes browsing but nothing caught my attention. Anyway, mom called me from KL and told me NOT to buy anymore clothes since I was going there anyway. She did ask me to stock up on my toiletries.
Which is what I will do and you shall find out about it in the next post.
Till then.
