Quick update

Updating due to customer complaint. Haha. Had to neglect this blog since I have insufficient time in preparing for my STPM already. Jo, teach me the ways of a form 6 student! I am officially quite screwed. Grr.

Well, this post will be mostly about my maternal side grandmother's old house. It's located just opposite MCMC and due to some circumstance (family probs?), she and the rest of the members living there has moved to my uncle's house in Krokop, which is kinda near my house. Y'know, when I was younger, I always thought of that wooden house as being there forever. Grandma thought the same too. When she moved to the newly-renovated house on Wednesday, she jokingly told us how people would laugh if she told them the first time she moved was when she was 80 years old. My mom and the rest of her siblings grew up in that house and my cousins and I have had great times there too. It's a pity to see it go. However, moving to a new house with better structures and fixtures would be more of a comfort for my grandma as she is having some problems with her legs.

Rats! Just realised I do not have the photo of the front of the house. Nevermind then. Pardon the messiness of the house. They were in the midst of packing when we paid a last visit to the house last Sunday.

This is the living room and you can also see my mother in the pic. Hmm. This is were the younger cousins and aunts and uncles watch TV/hold conversations after a family dinner. A bed is located on the other side of this room which is where my grandma spends most of her times thess days as walking is a problem for her.

This is chair here is known as grandma's chair. This was like her special throne those days when she was healthy enough to walk around. She rarely uses it as I've mentioned before, she has some leg problems. We had always had some sort of reverence for it. hehe.

El-kitchen cum dining room! The closer table was the junior table meant for us cousins while the main table was for the adults.

This is where the laundry is done. Yep, all the washing is done by hand. The toilet is located somehwere along this corridor as well and the green field at the end is actually a vegetable garden.

The garden. Maintanence stopped when they found out they were moving a few months back. I know they have lime and chili in this garden but I ain't that sure about the rest.

Behind the garden lies a poultry farm. Yep, the thingamajig made up from zincs is the pultry farm. Man, the chickens reared there were oh-so fat and deliciously delicious! No injections were given to them so yes, they were also super healthy. The chickens were only slaughtered for special occasions. However, all the chickens have goney gone gone since they can't be brought to the other house. Ahh. Miss them chickens =(

Before this place here lost its fencing, it was an empty ground. The kids played here and I remember having a BBQ here as well. When we were younger, an uncle of mine set up a tent here and us cousins were so happy since we were told we could spend the night there. However, it rained hard later that night and we did not zip up the tent so we were not able to spend the night it it. Heh.

Funny to think that this would be the last time I would be ascending and descending these steps.

On top of the stairs, the area where I spent most of my time with my cousins. Two of my cousins, Lilian and Benjamin used to stay with my grandmother. During the time of my visitation, they had already moved to their new house in Senadin. The entire space used to be occupied with their stuff.

Cousin Lilian's room which is now slept in by my other cousins still staying in that house. We slept here during sleepovers when we were much younger.

Grandma's old room. Her things are still here but I do not think she is sleeping here any longer.

Heh.
After walking around, I went back to the living room and listened in on the conversation my mom and grandma were having. Also I did this...

Boys and girls come out to play, the moon is shining bright as day, leave your supper and leave your sleep, and join your friends for some treats?

Something like that anyway. Neh. Remember? The old nursery rhyme? Bah. Nevermind.

I notice bigass spaces on this post. Grr. Am filling up the spaces as much as possible.

Alright. Till the next time I post. Till then~
