Blogging on a Sunday night

Well, well, well.

Had good intentions to update the ol' blog this afternoon but as per usual, I got distracted.

Had good intentions to finish reading a journal article for an assignment that has a deadline looming near BUT as usual, I got distracted again.

Ehem.

How was your Sunday?

Mine was really....relaxing.

Set my alarm to wake up at 10 am today!

Let me make a confession first.

During weekends, I usually sleep in till past noon.

YA I KNOW HOW BAD THAT IS but it can't be helped when you're in a place with nothing to look forward to on weekends. Trust me on this.

Anyway, since I've realized how unhealthy this is, I tried to wake up early today to do some chores! So awesome I know.

Changed my bedsheets, did the laundry and swept the floor!

There's this infestation of bugs attacking almost all the residential areas here at night. These bugs are really itty-bitty and are green or brown in colour. They are attracted to light source so if you leave your lights on and windows open, be prepared to see thousands of little bugs littering your walls. Damn gross and they keep flying at you.

They die when they light source is out so then you'll have to sweep their bodies away which is equally as troublesome.

After doing the chores, Ai Ling and I decided to have brunch!

We made Linguine in Seafood and Cheese sauce! The sauce is the canned kind from Prego. The frozen mixed seafood is first fried with garlic. After it is done, remove it from the pan but leave the oil and errr juicy remains behind. Mix in the canned sauce, add some pepper and basil leaves and once it gets nice and hot, mix in the linguine and then the seafood.

It was..not bad la. Seafood wasn't all that fantastic and the Prego sauce was..Prego sauce.

Let me interrupt you now with....

A screen shot of a big-ass wallpaper of TOP on my laptop!! ROAR!!! So big ass and hot!! Wooot!

Can't wait for his music video for 'Turn It Up' to be released on Monday! I've actually watched it from a fan cam video but obviously, I would want to see a much clearer version for maximum hotness.

On a side note, Taeyang will be releasing his solo album soon soon! Hope there will be some nice tracks coming from him too.

Anyway here's a photo of my phone.

Zis is the front. Yep. The big ass photo of TOP is also the wallpaper of my phone. The point of this photo is just to bug you with my TOP addiction. Hohoho.

Zis is the back of my phone. I bought a silicon cover for it the other day for RM 5. The cover wasn't all that fantastic because the material is a bit thick so I can't charge my phone or plug in any USB wires when the cover is on. So, I removed the front cover and the back when I had to charge my phone.

I tried putting it back together after that but the front cover wouldn't fit. Hence, I've decided to use just the back since I am more worried about causing damages to the back of the phone compared to the front.

New burger place opened up a couple of weeks back, I think. It's called Nice Burger and they have patties ranging from rabbit meat to mutton apart from the normal ones. I had the mutton one the other day for RM 4.50. It was pretty nice and the plus side is, they open till 4.00 am and have delivery service.

Was craving for tang yuans again the other day!

Yum yum. Peanut filled tang yuans in our tums!

Yi Hui and Sooi Pheng were around too to enjoy the dessert la in case you are wondering if Ai Ling and I polished off the entire box.

Ai Ling being her usual nice self prepared the tang yuans for our tummies!

I think I prefer the bigger tang yuans compared to the smaller ones. They have more bite into them and the feeling of the peanut oozing into your mouth is amazing. Mmm.

Hence, we bought another packet on Friday but this time, we had the bigger ones.

Say Yum.

Apart from that, both Ai Ling and I purchased packets of little biscuits each. Reminds me of those kindergarden days when during break time, such biscuits will be distributed along with a mug of Milo.

Pineapple jam biscuits! Bought this cos they looked so cute. Yummy too.

Fish-shaped biscuits! Remember these?

Fighting fish.

We had a visitor over too during this weekend! Ai Ling's coursemate aka our neighbour went back to her hometown so she left her hamster at our place so that it is taken care of. Hamster's name is Xiao Bai but we called it some other names such as Mr. Ham (although it is a female), No-no and Baby. It sleeps like..80% of the time so it was great fun waking it up.

It'll look at you with closed eyes and then go back to sleep. Or it would munch on it's hamster chow with eyes closed. Hoho!

Being nuts over sunflower seeds, it also has this habit of hiding the seeds in its mouth and then placing it in a secret little place for safe keeping. Aww.

I told Ai Ling to get one so I can bug it all the time.

Some other photos. Had to adjust the colour a bit cos it turned out a teensy bit too dark. Also, photos are a bit blurry cos it kept moving around. Sigh.

Expecting more sunflower seeds from Ai Ling.

I can haz sun flower seeds! See how fat its cheeks are. It stored most of the seeds there.

I have one of it yawning! Still in my phone though so shall post photos of it if I remember next time.

Had lunch-munch with some coursemates at new town on Thursday. We have a huge gap of about 3 and a half hours so we decided to walk to new town instead of squeezing ourselves to death at the overcrowded cafeteria.

Had lunch at a cafe called Fire Zone.

Presenting out drinks! The white substance is Soy Milk and the drink with lemon is Sprite & sour plum. Behind, we have a yellow mango smoothie and a white coffee ( I think) smoothie.

Set lunches for Rm 6.90 were available but after checking out the selection, we had ala carte instead. Except for Stippie, our wonderful 'sister' who is known for stinginess.

Stippie's sweet and sour fish rice with a few stalks of vegetable at the side. Looks a bit pitiful actually.

Cheryl's sambal chicken rice.

Sharmilla's sambal fish rice. Looks identical, no?

My chicken in butter cream rice! Finally, a cafe that can get butter cream right!

Feeling peckish, we ordered some sides as well. Above is nuggets and fries.

Chunky fingers I think this is called. Some chicken finger thing.

And finally, a photo of last night's dinner.

We finally cooked!! Rice with sesame topping and white carrot soup and chicken fingers from Ayamas!

Ai Ling and I were left stranded here throughout the weekend with the hamster.

Might be catching Brazil vs Ivory Coast later at 2.30 am!

Watched the Italy vs New Zealand game just now and was left disappointed! A draw? Really? What is Fifa coming to??

Have a good week ahead! Stay safe!

Till then.
