Zinger burger: Story of a dishonest girl

Ailin Soon was having lunch at KFC with two of her housemates. While the two had snack plates each, she opted for a Zinger Burger meal set. She was given a number and told to be seated. She made some small talk with her housemates while munching on some cheesy wedges which came along with the set.

A couple of minutes later, the waitress brought her Zinger Burger over and instead of one, the waitress served her two!

Ailin was a teensy bit shocked at first but after regaining consciousness, she decided to keep both burgers! After all, the second one was free, wasn't it? Plans about bringing the extra burger back for a snack soon formed in her mind.

However, her joy was shortlived. The waitress soon came marching over to her seat with the cashier that had taken down her order. Inspecting the second Zinger burger on the table, the cashier turned to confirm with Ailin that she had only bought one set. Ailin then reluctantly handed the extra burger over.

Moral of the story:Dishonesty pays =P

Anyway, the story is only for fun. The event did occur and we've been giving Ai Ling a hard time about it, calling her The Dishonest Girl and all. I reckon she's getting very annoyed at us already.

End of finals today! Sort of feel that I've screwed up the paper for some reason =( However, on the brighter side of life, lots of shopping to look forward to tomorrow! Exciting indeed.

Tang yuans! We were so happy yesterday thinking that we had yummy tang yuans for dessert. Our joy was shortened when we consumed them. The dough had gone sour. Planned to get some frozen ones today but sigh, it was out of stock.


Ai Ling and I decided to indulge in some very 'spensive ice-cream last week. Apart from Snickers, there was also Mars and Maltesers ice-cream. RM 19.90. Tesco, Kampar.


Yummy it was. Seriously. Think Snickers bar transformed into ice-cream.


Not very clear but whatever.


Pasta was also on sale in Tesco for RM 2.99 a packet so we decided to have macaroni for dinner. Also last week when Sooi Pheng was away



Lotus soup, baby!! I think I am quite addicted to it since I'll make a point to stock the apartment with lotus roots whenever we go down to the old market. The version pictured above is lotus roots boiled with pork bones, dried cuttlefish, peanuts and dates.

We're having the sweet version tonight which is lotus roots boiled with honey dates, dates, pork bones and wolfberries! Super sweetness indeed.



Sleepover in my room! Ai Ling and Sooi Pheng have been sleeping over in my room for the past 2 days.

We're sleeping over in Sooi Pheng's room tonight.

The things you do when you're bored. Sigh.

Anyway, good shopping to look forward to tomorrow! *Excited.
