I woke up with a throbbing pain on my left arm. Wait. Before that I got woken up. At 6.22 am. From a SMS from Digi. The nerve.
After rolling about, I got up at around 10.30 am to massage my arm for a bit and then to sweep the floor and wash the good ol' bathroom. I am so proud of the sink now. It sparkles like crazy and I just had to run my fingers over it a couple of times to create that squeaky clean sound. Lovely. Bathroom smells lovely like lavender now.
So after the cleaning duties, I sat in front of the lappie with a bowl of Cocoa Pops, trying to brainstorm and research but got distracted as per usual. I am now obviously still sitting here in front of the lappie but now with my beloved Reeses' Peanut Buttercups. I have a love-hate relationship with procrastination.
Anyways, something interesting happened last night. A robbery occurred. Right on my floor. To a neighbour. Living quite near. To us. Apparently, their door wasn't lock so it was more of a walk in maybe. Among the stolen items were laptops, watches and shoes. Yes, SHOES. Thieves these days. Tsk tsk. We reckon it was done by a security guard cos the guards here look really dodgy. Walk in occurred at around 10 pm and no one heard anything at all. Indeed.
Back to the topic, Moment To Rant. I have come up with yet another theory. The theory is called Kacang Melupakan Kulit. Obviously, the peribahasa already speaks for itself so I need not elaborate much. It's the people that have forgotten their roots and who they are exactly which has irked me today. Just like Si Tanggang who has forgotten his mother when he went off for travels and such.
It doesn't matter really. You might be so into your wonderful present now, forgetting the past and the things that have shaped who you are but in the end, deep down, you'll always be that insignificant being which you once were in the past. Hide it with the layers of pretence but watch it unravel slowly in the future.
Perhaps by then, you'll know who your true friends really are.
