The quite long post

Ahem. I think all you wonderful people out there deserve a super nice post after all those rantings. I actually have a lot of backdated photos so since I am a bit (and I do mean A BIT) free at the moment, I thought I should just do a nice update so that ye people wouldn't think that I am contemplating on lying in the gutter for a long time.

Assignments with a capital A are still piling up, it's just ridiculous. Mid-terms are also starting soon next week and I haven't touched err, anything yet. Yay me! Funny how I can look at things calmly now instead of hyperventilating like the previous weeks. Hmm.

Anyway, on with the photos!

Photobucket
Awesome, awesome fish curry erm yonks back. The lime leaves made a huge difference to the taste. Sweet potatoes and broccoli surprisingly complement well with the curry

Photobucket
Pizza frenzy also yonks back. Notice that the Super Supreme has no green peppers.

Photobucket
The Tom Yam pizza. Yum.

Photobucket
We also started making pizza bread at home. Fairly simple. Just load up a piece of bread with a combo sauce made of mayo and tomato sauce and add any ingredient that you like as a topping. In this case, we had sausages, crabsticks, pineapple, tomato, garlic and red onions. Can top off wish cheese if you wish or just the combo sauce once again. I personally think adding a touch of basil makes it all the yummier. Pop it in the toaster oven and ta-da, it's done.

Photobucket
Random shot of Ai Ling making pizze bread for me. Haha.

Photobucket
Experimented with this yesterday. I spread butter on it and topped it off with garlic, tomato pieces and basil. Yes, it was very good.

Photobucket
We also had a steamboat gathering last Friday with Derek, Jang Yee and some of Ai Ling's coursemates. Soup base was made of salted veg which was quite nice. Can see Derek pretending to be emo here.

Tesco Kampar is so the awesome these days. We've been going there for 4 days straight to 'sweep stock' or 'sau huo' in mandarin. I am currently very super proud of the stocks that we have lying around.

Here are the more extreme ones though.

Photobucket
Our boxes of cereal! I currently have 5 boxes of cereal, 2 Cocoa Pops, one Banana Clusters and two opened ones, namely some more Cocoa Pops and Tesco bran cereal or something like that. We're only going crazy with cereal during this period because One box here costs Rm 6.99 instead of the usual RM 8.00++ to RM 10++ at this which is well, pricey. So yeah, hopefully my stock can last me for err a year maybe?

Photobucket
Milk and juices! Lalalala. Both of these cost RM 8 for 2 cartons so as usual, it was time to stock up.

Oreo biscuits are now going for RM 1.87 per packet and we got ourselves 4. Campbell's soup is RM 6 for 2 so we currently have 4. We have Tatura cream cheese as well, RM 8 for 2 (original price is RM 6.29 for one I think) and 2 new slabs of Tature butter, also RM 8 for 2 which is freaking cheap!

Also in stock, are 3 packets of sausages, RM 6 for 3. Yer, I sound so auntie but never you mind.

We went to Ipoh last Sunday! The main reason was to snap photos for our feature article for the magazine assignment we had. Our model aka interviewee of the day was the trustee housemate, Soon Ai Ling. Of course, we side tracked a bit and did some shopping, as usual.

On a random note, I've not been getting ample amount of sleep these days. Obviously, I'll wake up feeling very tired and even sleepier when attending classes. However, after that period, when I come home and online, I become wide awake instead. Erm. Help?

Speaking of days and weeks, it's already week 6!! Next week will be week 7, marking the half of the semester! I'll just say wah liu, time flies too fast please. And yes, I still feel very unproductive.

Photobucket
The very, very first modern-looking bus I have been on in Ipoh, seriously. Should see the rest. A bunch of no air-cond, shaky and rusty things. Bus services here are relatively convenient. After stopping at the main bus station, you can take one of these buses mentioned to most of the main shopping malls around.

Since we were the only passengers on the bus, we got to choose where to stop. We stopped by Greentown centre to grab some breakfast first before heading to Ipoh Parade. The centre is made up of a lot of shophouses and is within walking distance to Ipoh Parade which is convenient.

Photobucket
Had breakfast at OldTown White Coffee.

Photobucket
They have nice furniture and decoration around and has 2 floors, pretty much different to the ones that I usually see around other shopping malls in KL.

Photobucket
The reason why there are a lot of these shots around is because we are planning to use it for our magazine assignment.

Photobucket
Me uni mates! Me, Sharmilla, Sooi Pheng and Cheryl My hair damn ugly lor.

Photobucket
I shall seriously have to get it cut when I go back to Miri again on September but I reckon I'll try to get a diff style then. As of now, I've given up on it. Sigh. I also think I've put on some weight. Need gym. Stop snacking!!

Foodie photos below.
Photobucket
Ai Ling's curry mee and white coffee.

Photobucket
My hor fun. One of the cafe's signature dishes.

Photobucket
Sooi Pheng's kaya toast and super gao black coffee which was quite scary.

Photobucket
Also very the nice. French toast! has yummy peanut butter in the middle and honey drizzled over it.

Photobucket
Purty plants.

Photobucket
Ling jie.

Photobucket
Saw this while we were walking to Ipoh Parade and decided to do random jump shots. Thisis the best out of all the others, which were absolute failures.

Ipoh Parade was quite the awesome. Parkson was having a sales on accessories and I managed to get a bracelet and necklace for 50% off! Super bargain I say. However, the highlight of the trip was actually...

Photobucket
Etude House! Lip tints there are awesome. Erm, sort of spent quite a lot here. Shh.

Photobucket
Random shop shots for the magazine. Accessories here are quite nice and cheap as well.

Photobucket
Fav place to scour for bargains. It's located on the third floor and has the setting of a mini night market. Treasure hunting here is just fun.

Photobucket
Super kheng boss of this super kheng shop selling tees, bags, accessories and other rockesque shizz. The belt he was wearing had lighted words running on it. Accroding to him, you could set your name, phone number or whatever message you have on it. The skull on his tee also lights up and flashes according to the music in the shop. He also had on an earring which flashed different coloured lights at times. He was also the first person to ask me to take photos of his shop. Much unlike the rest which didn't really allow photos taken. Hmmph.

Photobucket
Another stall selling stuff made by handicapped or special children. Ai Ling bought some biscuits here and they tasted good, actually.

Photobucket
Yet another colourfully vibrant stall which i super like lo.

Photobucket
Pixelletes!! They call these US beads here. Damn cute la seriously. All under RM 10. Shall get one next time and turn it into a necklace =D Can ask them to customize for you as well.

Photobucket
Transformers pixellete! Deng deng. Super cute.

Our plans to finish up at 100 Yen shop fell through because it wasn't open. Of all days. Anyway, we walked back to the Greentown business centre and had a super late lunch at this place called the C U Village.

Photobucket
Ai Ling and I shared this chicken chop and garlic and butter soup with rice for RM 7.90. Absolutely not worth la. Look at the patch of rice. Miniscule.

Photobucket
Ai Ling's melon ice thing. Melon wasn't sweet enough.

Photobucket
My mango ice thing. Mango was sour but it wasn't too bad.

Photobucket
Sharmilla's err..can't quite remember. Something in oyster sauce thing.

Photobucket
Sooi Pheng's meehoon. Was nice cos it had this tomyam taste.

Photobucket
C U Village's special fried rice. Cheryl ordered this. Why are all their portions bigger than mine? Sigh.

Photobucket
Yet another photo before leaving.

And this concludes my quite long post. I shall now have lunch and research-research for my presentation later.

Till then.
