There was a bit of laptop drama the other day, thanks to Derek Bong once again. I don't know what I have done to deserve such treatment tsk tsk. Haha.
So, Mr. Ke Kiang asked me to run this system recovery thingus to speed things up on my lappie. Thinking that it was just a simple procedure, I did. Little did I know that after doing so, this stupid blue screen would appear and my lappie just would not start. AT ALL.
It was damn scary lo. After many, I repeat, MANY futile attempts to save it, I finally ordered Derek to send it to the shop to get it fixed. My only worry was that all my photos and songs would be gone. My preeecciiooussss you know you know.
I sent Ke Kiang a death threat. I would kill him if that happened. Thankfully, it did NOT and the lappie works okay now. With certain changes of course which would take time to get used to.
The computer dude gave me Picasa 3 but it's in chinese weih. How to read. Shall try to experiment with it la when I have time. I don't have Limewire anymore either but I reckon I won't go back to it cos it does have a lot of probs. Any good mp3 downloading programmes to intro?
Sigh. Shall do a bit of rant before photo-ing. As they say, erm No Pain, No Gain? Lol.
Let's see. How do I phrase it in a way that sounds...plausible?
Do you know how it is when often you are told that you have to toil to get the things you want for yourself with your own ability and yet when you develop that ability, you are told that you are not able to get it? Or when you do have a very good reason as to why it should be yours, your reasons are still shunned away?
I don't know whether you've experienced such a situation and I don't know whether you understand the phrase above. Bah. Doesn't matter.
Then, when all this while, you've been earning the things you have by your own abilities, suddenly, one day, the person, who is also SUPPOSED to be brought up with the same concept as you, is able to get what he/she wants WITHOUT having to earn ANYTHING, with no good reasons but just because.
Now, how would you feel?
People choose not to listen to your reasons for the things you do yet they shower the other person with lots of attention and getting him/her whatever he/she wants.
I love being independant, I do. However sometimes, when I get caught in the middle in situations like these, I feel..trapped. Unsatisfied and most of all, pissed.
Emotions, sigh.
Anyway, back to happy topics! Did some self-loving shopping in KL last weekend with the housemate, Ai Ling.

Us in the KTM on the way down. See the happy faces. We're finally going to see tall buildings. WAHH!! =D Sakai. Haha. Shaddup.
Met several coursemates at the station who were on the way to their respective hometowns.
First stop of the day was...KLCC!
We met up with Jessica there to pass her her birthday present, lunch and then some shopping =D

Mirror shot at ESPRIT while Jess was trying on shorts.

Blurred shot of the three and Jess bought the shorts she tried. Haha.

Ai Ling's minced beef rice (?) Something like that anyway. It was good. We ate at Signatures, the food court and got that from one of the Japanese food stalls. There was this value meal thing, something like RM 7.90 for food+ drink so we had that.

My salmon & rice with drink at the side. Pretty good.
I got myself 3 formal shirts, one collared black & striped one from Padini, 2 shirts to wear with my jacket from Seed and underwear! Haha. Owh, and let's not forget the Marks & Spencer digestives, RM 3.50 only per packet. Yum.
We had a fun time just traipsing around the shops and catching up =)
Day 2, Ai Ling & I went to the Bukit Bintang area since she wanted to purchase a new laptop. The few hours of the morning were spent in Lowyat where we browsed through a couple of shops. She finally settled for an Acer one, one of their latest models which has pretty good specs I reckon. Since the comp dude needed time to configure her laptop and stuff, we then had lunch and went off to Sungei Wang. Haven't been there in ages so we spent the hours walking around and of course, buying stuff (more for me, in this case. haha). Both of us started feeling a bit claustrophobic after a while cos as you know, Sungei Wang is a pretty cramped up place. And with the weekends and crowds, phew~ Nevertheless, I spent the most here (cheap buys, you know la) but I shall still declare Times Square to be my fave. The wide spacings and shops =D

We had chicken rice at Lowyat's food court for lunch. The reddish chicken is roasted chicken rice whereas the one in the further end is steamed chicken. We ordered the set lunch and it came with kailan (which would have tasted better with some garlic) and fried crispy tofu which was just..okay. We were ravenous then so the rice tastes super awesome. That's me and my pink t-shirt at the end there. The tee says Bear Hugs actually which is quite cute la. I paired it with this pinafore thingus (which I bought for RM 15 from Times Square back in Jan but never wore cos the stupid salesgirl gave me a diff one than the one I wanted okay long story) and leggings so cannot see lo. It was a leggings weekend for me cos I was lazy to bring my jeans. More convenient to pack them leggings for overnight stays and such.
After lunch, we saw this little stall selling tong shui and kuihs so we had some dessert there.

Green bean!! We had this RM 3.30 set where we could have 2 nyonya kuih and a choice of dessert. We had this one and it was seriously good. Thick, creamy but not too sweet. Was still warm too so it was just perfect.

Nyonya kuih.

We had dinner at the same place too since we had to pick up Ai Ling's laptop after the configuration and all. She had some sort of sticky rice and curry while I had their nasi lemak and curry. It was in a set, so we got dessert again =D

I had my green beans and Ai Ling had bubur chacha.
Some photos of my buys! I took them to MMS to Jess to show her what I bought upon her request and since I still have them photos, I might as well post them here! Haha.

Fave buy #1 Perfume!! I got Anna Sui's Secret Wish. It smells fresh and light, which is something I like. The box damn cute right?

El perfume.

The cover. It's actually a fairy.

#2 Floral blouse for RM 25!
It has some details which I liked.

Some layers at the bottom.

Ruffles. Me likes it.

#3 Off the shoulder top for RM 21.90

#4 RM 10 tee damn proud of it =D

Check out the back. Had to grey out that part cos my bra was showing. Me likes the detailed back. RM 1o weihh. Aiya, I wore it with a black tube inside to uni la. Not that obscene hmmph.
#5 My precciouusss BELT for Rm 16.90 =D As stated, I like the details. Damn pretty, no??
Sigh. I feel the happiest when I manage to rummage cheap but nice things. Still student mah. Cannot be branded branded lol. Unless got discount then different issue altogether Haha.
Since Monday was a public holiday, the initial plan was to go to Midvalley but somehow, we got tired so we stayed in and watched Australia and some Moonlight Resonance on my sis's lappie. Then we had breakfast at the Mamak located on the ground floor of the condo.

Ai Ling had roti canai.
I think the mamak man has a crush on her la. When we left the shop, he said something like "come here eat tonight, tomorrow morning, afternoon and night..." or something like that. And he was talking to HER! Hahahahhaa. Funnyyy. Mamak man likes Ai Ling. Lololol.

My sis and I had kaya on toast with half-boiled eggs and milo.
Dipped the toast in egg for the first time. It was..good =D
Then we had our usual McD at Central before heading back to ye ol' Kampar.
Usual Kamparic food below. Food we had this week.
New mamak place opened just opposite our apartment. Got big screen some more. We're planning to go there to watch the match between MU and Liverpool tomorrow night. Whee! As girls, Ai Ling and I have already agreed to support them team with more hot players lol.

Ling jie's roti canai. Damn small piece haha.

We shared roti tisu which was quite nice. Thats me in black having my roti planta which was oh-so good.
We also shared a plate of RM 1.80 nasi lemak. No photos of it cos I think. Must have forgotten to bluetooth if from Ai Ling just now. Hmm. It was a tad salty but pretty worth nevertheless.

Teh tarik which was damn sweet.

Dinnering at Derek's.

Paku veg which he cooked. Quite nice.

Steamed chicken with ginger, red dates, soy sauce and don't know what else. This was good la.
Tesco-ed with Ai Ling just now and we had lunch at the food court. Tried out the claypot stall.

She had tomyam noodles which was quite worth for RM 4.20.

My claypot chicken rice for RM 4.50. Pretty good. I still want to try the one from the old town though. Hmmph.
Guess what guess what? We had Mee Sua for dinner! Courtesy of Yeo Huixin and Soon Ai Ling =D

Jang Yee, Ai Ling and I helped in the soup boiling. We left the mee sua part to Derek la since he's so ke kiang. Lololol.
It tasted alright la but I miss the one from home boo hoo.
Long update eh this time?
Self-love. Haha.
Happy weekend!
