Received a package this morning from Aunty Joanna.
It turned out to be a nice shirt. Thanks! =D
For the fun of it. Can see my Christmas lookalike luggage. Mom reckons it will be easier for me to recognize the bag in airports.
I did some baking in the afternoon. Remember the Nigella Lawson video I posted not too long ago? Well, I used her recipe for chocolate chip cookies and it turned out very nice *proud. It's very chocolaty and is definitely one of the best comfort foods around. Of course, you shall only have it once in a while la. Imagine all that sugar going to your thighs. Hoho.
Anyway cookie-whoring pics!

Also, the initial recipe was to use 200g of chocolate chips. Having just purchased a 500g bag of chocolate chips yesterday, I didn't want to waste so much of it since I had other plans for them tiny chippies so I used less. Maybe around 100g or 150?
Anyway, the important thing is, they were really good. Goodness, I feel so tempted to go have some more of them now. Credits to Nigella for the wonderful demonstration of this pretty expensive recipe.
Since I'm feeling quite generous (I am, admit it!) I shall happily type the recipe here to share with you all. Not the exact recipe but my take on it since I didn't follow some of the steps. Haha.
125g salted butter (the original recipe used unsalted one)
125g cooking chocolate
75g brown sugar (for fudginess. Watch the video!)
50g regular sugar (can lessen the amount of sugars. All up to you)
150g plain flour
30g cocoa
1 teaspoon bicarbonate soda aka baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
200g choc chips (can be reduced according to your erm needs)
1 egg
Next, the methods.
Cream butter and sugars in a bowl. Add vanilla essence and egg into mixture and continue mixing. Melt 125 g cooking choc in microwave (the time of choc melting varies on different models so it's best if you understand your model before punching in the temperature, time and such). Allow it to cool a bit and then pour it into the bowl and mix it well with the mixture. Add flour, salt, bicarbonate soda and cocoa into mixture and continue stirring. Lastly, stir in the chocolate chips.
Using an ice-cream scoop, scoop up some of the dough and scrap off the excess using a knife. Plop the dough unto a greased tray. Remember, leave room for it to spread so do not place the dough too close to each other. When done, bake in a moderate oven from 15-18 minutes, till cookie turns a dark, dark brown. For the oven I'm using, I baked it for 15 minutes in 150 Celsius but of course, all ovens vary. Therefore, it is sort of a trial and error thing.
Check out the video for more information.
Ooh. I have some random photos to share.
Belts galore! Mom has a collection of belts hidden in her closet and I decided to have fun with them. The big, brown waist cincher is quite mine since I've been using it for some time now. Anyway, I ended up wearing the black belt out yesterday when I went to collect my passport with Kristy and my brother.
This leads me to the next photo.
Chendol, Special & Rojak session at one of the stalls near Sin Liang. After the collection of my passport (which took less than 10 minutes) we walked over to the old part of town and did some shopping at this shop called Tai Hin. Or something like that. I've been there with a couple of friends before last year and got my dress there for a very good price. Did some clothes browsing with Kristy while my brother started being annoying. It was all good fun. Had our eating session after and then made a trip to Button Point cos Kristy wanted to get lace.
We went to Toy's World too cos she wanted to get some pressies for some cousins (?). Tried on funny hats and let me tell you shopping for 9 people can get very confusing, especially the gender and age =.= Haha.
Big dip container! Went for a year-end party on Sunday at Dr. Mattu's place cos he invited my mom and the family. Loved the cheese dip and also the peanut butter dip. We had some Kelabit cuisine that night which was pretty scumptious.
I shall be off now to sort my photos file.
Till then
