So, the much anticipated Secret Recipe opened its doors not so long ago. Went there yesterday for dinner with Kok and Allen (who was busy bustling between our table and his bro's table) Anyway, just a quick review about the place, although you've probably read tons of it already on other blogs.
Arrived there at around 7 pm to find the place fully booked. We were told to wait around until a place can be given to us. So we did. However, some rather unfair things happened as the customers who arrived later than us got their tables first. And this was supposed to be some first come, first serve basis, yes? Furthermore, these patrons had a bigger number party compared to ours so why is this happening, huh?! The door person should actually keep track of the number of seats needed, which guests arrived first and so forth for better management. Seriously, if I were some old fusspot which thankfully I am not, I would have kicked up a huge fuss about this matter.
We waited approximately an hour before we got seated. And since Allen arrived late with his bro and other friends, he only had to wait for what, only 20 minutes? before we got a table. We called him the 'luck bringer'. Haha. AS IF LAAA.

The menu.
Secret Recipe has a pretty big selection of dinner courses. Kok and I both did not have our dinner yet so we busied ourselves with our meal selection while Allen table hopped over to his brother's table. He promised to join us for desserts after. Such a celeb. =.=
Didn't take long for us to decide for dinner.

I had grilled dory fish with lobster sauce. Looks yummy eh? I loved the soft texture of the fish and the fact that the dish came piping hot. However, I found the sauce albeit salty and the extra pepper sprinkled on top to be a bit pointless. I loved the veggies though. It went pretty well with the sauce (despite the fact that it is salty) The fries were well, fries. Over all, this dish was pretty good.

I also had fresh fruit punch. The punch basically tasted like bananas. Order if you are a fan of bananas.

This is Kok's ice chocolate and cream. I don't know how it tastes like but from the looks of it, it should be pretty yummy.

Kok's Tom Yam Kung. Portion wise not really big. Taste wise, not too bad. We kept comparing it to the huge collage they had on the wall. Haha.
Next, dessert. By the time we went to select the cakes, most of it were sold out so we did not have much choices left.

Marble cheesecake. Cheese filled. Very good as well. I love the oat base. Yum.

New York cheesecake. According to the promoter, this is supposed to be one of their specialty. Maybe something went wrong with this cake because the slice we had tasted like medicine. At first, we suspected it was the biscuit base but it wasn't. Somehow, it was weird.
Aside from the cheesecakes, they have other selections ranging from chocolate to health cakes. I wanted to try the high fibre cheesecake but the boys said, "No Healthy Cakes Please." Sigh.
In my opinion, I would come here for their cakes again but probably not for their main courses, unless I turn super rich one day. Haha.
Also, it is most advisable to go after 8 pm cos the dinner rush slows down then.
I have a tag to do but I shall do it in the next post. Haha. The Aizzat Tag.
These days, I've been getting some dandruff problems. Not very serious but annoying all the same.
The colleague told me that lime juice can actually curb the problem. After shampooing, massage lime juice into the scalp and rinse. For me, I did another round of shampooing to get rid of the lime-y smell.
So do you reckon it works?
Shall do another lime-juice-rinsing round tomorrow. Meanwhile, the situation has improved for the hair.
And I really should get it cut soon.
And I still want to go to Zaika. =((((
Before I forget,

Look, Fiona! Your chandelier! Haha I voted for the black one by the way.
Till then.
