Shall revert back to Healthy Eating tomorrow. =.=
When it comes to Kopitiam eating in Miri, I have to admit I am quite clueless about where to get the best of what.
I know Jingwood has nice and cheap western food, the open air market has yummy chicken porridge (owh and let's not forget the char kuey tiaw, curry rice and those other delectables =D) And erm...Hopoh? Good Kueh Chap, y'know?
It was that fateful day (which was actually yesterday la) that I discovered yet another good char kuey tiaw place.
Yong Le cafe!!
Dad says the char kuey tiaw and 'hams' (ermmm...cockles?) there are a specialty so that became Saturday night's dinner.

We sat pretty near the noodle stall so we were able to catch the cook in action. The plates of kuey tiaw came steaming hot but surprisingly, when I ate some, the kuey tiaw was more to warm than to hot. Hmm. A mystery.

Over all, the kuey tiaw was nice though I would prefer it to be a bit hotter, you know? The chili they gave should also be a bit more spicier so as to give it a kick, you know you know. However, I love how generous they are with the 'hams' though. It's like tasting 'hams' in every bite. Yum.
I reckon we should start hanging out in kopitiams more next time. Such a nice feel to it. HAHA.
After church today, Adrian and Andrew invited me out for lunch at this shop just next to Brand On Street. I have completely forgotten the name but I know it doubles as a shabu-shabu spot at night. The shop sells noodles and rice in the day time.
So, we met up with Felicia there and all of us had 'zhia jian' noodles. If you ask me to translate that into English, I apologize for I do not even know what 'zhia jian' means. According to the brothers, it's supposed to be this special taiwanese noodle dish.

The noodles had a sweet taste to it. I thought it would be something like Kolo Mee at first. I like the fat noodles as well. Reminds me of instant Mi goreng. Yum. Apart from this dish, they serve a variety of other noodle dishes, which all looks tempting. Prices are also extremely affordable and cheap compared to other places.

We also ordered dumplings which came with light soy sauce. Doesn't look tempting in the pic but I loved the taste. Had a ginger tinge to it.
The meal was on the Teo brothers. A big thank you to them for the treat! =D
After lunch, we headed to Parkson for some hanging out time. That was when I found out the Breaking Dawn book I wanted was SOLD OUT. =((((
So sad okay? Should have just gotten it without the Popular card the other day. Le sigh.
Body Shop was also a big disappointment. What ever happened to the yummy variety of body mists? All. Gone.
Should I invest in a good perfume?
Camwhoring runs in the family. All I did was take one innocent photo of my cousin and he asked me to do it again and again and AGAIN. Woooot hefff IIIIIII creeeatiddddddd????!!!!

All photos above are delibrately posed. I kept asking him NOT to flash the peace sign but NOOO, somehow he seems to like to do that. Cuteness indeed.

Hahahaha. I thought of asking my sis to get if for me since it should be in stock in KL. Haha.
Owh, I visit that website sometimes too. Haha.
About my nose, my mom told me don't have to do liao la. Haha. And I was like Okay La. Since my breathing has improved so I think I won't re-do my left side liao. Haha.
Lol. I have this new recipe; microwaved cream of corn with tomato slices. Quite nice!
Really? Does it taste good?
Ah, I guess. If your breathing problem has improved then I guess it should be ok gua....
Hmm. It tastes..quite nice. I like it though. Haha. You can try it though. Sort of an interesting taste? Haha.
Yea. Actually that day I thought I was supposed to do my left side again so the nurse and I asked the ENT surgeon and he was like, "You want some more ah? I teach you. Go home, put kerosene in your nose, light the lighter and burn the nose. Make sure you spray with some LA too." So LAME la him. Haih. Haha. And to think that he was the one who asked me to come back so he can get my left side fixed. Tsk tsk.
