Ooh. Me has got the 2nd book of the Twilight series! =D Yes, I purchased New Moon from Belle's today. However there were no signs of the third book. The fourth (and final I think) book for this series entitled Breaking Dawn will be released on August 2 probably in the US. Wonder when will it be out in Malaysia then.
Anyway, Annual Dinner! Yes I do have some pictures to post although they might be a little pointless.
The theme of the night was traditional apparels and the event was held at Grand Palace. The invitation card stated that the time the event was startting was at 6 pm. However, upon arrival around that time, only a handful of people were there. Talk about punctuality.

The stage.

The many empty table and chairs around that time.

Dr Mattu's live band. They were really good, entertaining the crowd with those golden oldies. There were lots of dancing going on during their performances. It was nice to see the doctors and staffs letting down their hair. Haha.

A photo with staff nurse Florence and two of my former colleagues from the old department.

Lienny, Catherine and me taken via Lienny's phone.

The opening dance by some nurses. It was..okayla.

A blur shot of the CEO giving her speech.

Another speech by the even bigger boss. Hehe.
Some other people shot below.

Chiong and Ronnie, the Support Service twins. Where one goes, the other one follows. Inseparable. Very nice people with a good sense of humour. Has a penchant for teasing people. =.=

Julie & I. Julie's a Kayan (I think) lass who speaks pretty good mandarin. She's currently working as a PCA to the orthopaedic surgeon since his actual PCA is on maternity leave. That's how we started working together and getting to know each other.

Ronnie and his wife, Sing Yee. They have a very adorable daughter whom they did not bring. Very cute couple though. Hehe.

Julie and Su Yee, a spunky girl who is shorter than me although she is two years older. Hoho. She will be leaving soon for her diploma in nursing course next month.

Meaning, if I do get a uni placement, we'll probably be leaving around the same time. She's currently the assitant to the ENT surgeon. One of the initiative people around.

Su Yee, me, Angela and Renee.
Next, food shots.
Over all, the food was only so-so. And I didn't take pictures of all the dishes served since I got a tad lazy. Hehe.

Hot and cold combination dish. That's Ronnie's chopsticks by the way. He got scolded by Sing Yee for disturbing the photo-taking. HAHA!

Sing Yee's idea. The Dig In photo. This dish was not impressive. The jellyfish was salty, the lamb made me squemish, the dumpling was OKAY nia la and the best edible thing on this dish was the beef salad thing.

Hot and Sour Sze Chuan soup. Pretty okay.

There was fried rice. Nothing to shout about.

Free flow of cherry cordial. Or plain water if you please. Or chinese tea. There was also a supply of alcoholic beverages but mom said that the drinkers bought that themselves.

Some of the male doctors and staff participating in the fashion show.

Overall view with the ladies.

Taichi performance by JM Lina.
Overall, I did QUITE enjoy la although not much. First thing first, I guess most of my colleagues who are already in the middle 20's and married and all have different views and interests than me. Hence, there is some sort of a 'generation gap' sometimes, you know you know?
Then there's the fact that all the locums were mentioned in the slideshow EXCEPT for me. What am I then? The amah?
Omg. Even the amahs got mentioned.
I guess in a way it doesn't matter. I won't be here for long where as the rest of the locums are waiting for their confirmation.
And the company is paying me well so I shall have nothing to say.
And the slide producer is well....let's just say he's not anyone's cup of tea.
Bias and all.
Thank goodness for public holidays! I shall sleep in tomorrow and continue with my Twilight reading.
Till then.
