Hmm. I reckon my fringe needs a trimming. Shall do that tomorrow.
Owh. And I seriously need new slippers since the ones I am wearing to work are killing me. My feet, more like. My skin's all peeling due to the fact that the slippers are kind of worn out. Bah. Shall quit explaining lor since it's hard to without you guys seeing the slippers. Anyway, I know what sort of slippers I should get already so whee for me.
Fine la. I shall blog about MOVIES. =D
I shall be blogging about, let me see, 3 movies that I saw these past weeks and yes, they are going to be old movies. Yala yala. Lau niang is not exactly very free to be going out all the time to catch the latest movies, although I might be going out with the lot tomorrow to catch Horton Hears a Who. Haha! Details, details.
Anyway, these 3 movies that I watched were pretty good which explains why I would want to blog about them. No, wait. Make that 4. I suddenly remembered this movie I really love which nobody claims to have heard about. So sad lor.
First thing first.

Hot Fuzz.
I reckon this movie is quite old lor but it's super good. An unexpected twist at the end which is hard to find in movies nowadays. This is also the movie that I mentioned nobody seems to know about. Well, now you know. Based on the poster, I guess some would think that this is an action-packed movie, which is sort of serious. Well, first off, this perception should be changed since this is not an entirely serious movie. It's actually a comedy revolving around the plot the a hot-shot London police who was so excellent in his service, that the whole precinct couldn't stand it since he kept outshining them. They then proceeded to transfer him to this picturesque village which happened to always bag the 'Village of the Year' award. The strange thing is, could this village be this perfect? Love the British humour here. A definite must-watch, really.

As far as musicals go, I guess Sweeney Todd has 'made it' with 90% singing. A dark tale about Benjamin Barker aka Sweeney Todd who returned to London for sweet revenge after being slapped with false charges by this judge, who happened to be in love with his wife back then. Very dark and disgusting at some parts. However, I sort of pitied poor Sweeney Todd in the end since all that he did throughout the movie was well, in vain. As for the songs in the movie, I much prefer those from Hairspray, Evita or Moulin Rouge which are still my favourite musicals. Did I miss any out? Hmmm.

Juno.
I'm super sure my parents would not react the way Juno's did when they found out that she was pregnant. A cheery tale about how a teenage girl got through her pregnancy. Juno's super smart-mouth makes the dialog in the movie funny and sassy. My favourite character would be Juno's dad. Very random, gruff yet funny and sweet. I sort of teared up at the ending lor. I guess the love going on between Juno and (goodness, I forgot the guy's name!) was sort of cute and innocent. Owh. And the songs played throughout the movie? Super nice country songs. 2 thumbs up!

Enchanted!
Super funny and sweet! Patrick Dempsey, in all his hot and macho glory, made this movie 10 times nicer. If I ever go for like super older men, I'd go for one like him. Ahh. A tale about how a cartoon character who was set to marry the prince of her land, Andalisia (something like that) , got tricked by his wicked stepmother, fell into a wishing well and ended up in a land' where there are no happily ever afters', New York. Pure escapism so but even for a realist, like me *ahem, I still found this movie cute and went all 'Aww' which is something hard for me to do especially in love movies.
Yeah, done with my random review post which I am sure most people will skip since it's full of WORDS which borifies people. Tsk Tsk.
At least it's a long post. =D
Shall be replacing a receptionist at my previous department for 3 days starting tomorrow so I shall have to wake up at 5.30 am again. *Grumbles.
More as and when.
