So I have been pretty busy this weekend making stuff for the upcoming CNY. Can't believe it's getting so near; only one day left!
Digressing a bit, everyone is invited to my house on Friday (2nd day of CNY), starting from 11.00 am onwards. Do come to enjoy the food. =)
P/S: Kristy, Daphne and the rest who will not be in Miri on the 2nd day of CNY, feel free to visit me when you get back. =D Looking forward to seeing you guys again.
Anyway, back to the updating. We spent the entire weekend making marshmallow treats.

Marshmallows. A very important ingredient in this recipe.

I have a thing about white marshmallows. They seem yummier than the others somehow. Soft, pillowy. Ah. Comforting.

Me nails. =D Random I know. Will be removing this coat soon and painting them with this pinkish pearl colour I bought for CNY. I figured I didn't want anything too dark in case it clashes with my clothes. Haha.

Melting the butter to make the coating for the marshmallows.

Overview of the ingredients and paraphernalias used.

Arranging the paper cases on the tray for the marshmallow treats.

Some marshmallow treats. Note that the paper cases on the first and second picture are different. The green one turned out to be too big for the marshmallow treats so we had to use smaller ones.
I would have to say that this is a simple yet delicious recipe that can be made for all occasions. It's a no-bake recipe which means it takes a shorter duration of time to prepare. Mom reckons we should make some more since we've been giving this away to relatives and all aside from the cookies.
Yesterday, I completed Project Bake Phase 2 with the Cornflake Coconut Crisps.

The dough turned out looking like mashed potatoes. With raisins.

A closer view.
Baked cookies.

At the final stages of baking.
So I am officially baked out with a record of 5 cookies; cheddar cheese biscuits, chocolate peanutties, chocolate chip cookies, cornflake coconut crunchies and marshmallow treats.
Phew.
The chocolate chip cookies turned out to be sort of a flop but edible, still. Disappointed but what can I do. Sigh.
Tomorrow is D-day where the Very Experienced Receptionist will be having her leave, leaving me alone, yet again. Sigh. Wish me luck.
Till then.
