Wrapped in the magic..

Owh, owh, owh!!!!!

I'm so in a Pan's Labyrinth mood. =D

It's absolutely beautiful and dark.

Fine, I know ye clever people are going to point out that it is an OLD movie and why should I be raving about it now?

Well, sorry lar if I am offending you about an old movie. However, it is still MY blog and I shall say what I damn well please. Hurhur.

Anyhoos, I have heard about this movie like, 2(?) years ago and never bothered going off to watch it since it gave me an impression of it being a childish type of fantasy flick. I was blinded by this misconception for a whole year till one day, I discovered that this movie was in fact, a dark fairy tale and according to the DVD cover, it's an adult fairy tale. Woop. I love dark.

So, yesterday while I was in church, Jess smsed me and invited me to be a light bulb (hurhur) as she was going out with Allen to Imperial Mall to exchange a DVD she bought. Being in church, I naturally wasn't able to make it but I did request for her to help me find the DVD for Pan's Labyrinth. Being such a dear, she secured the DVD for me and sent it over to my house soon after.

So, I spent yesterday afternoon watching it and it was well, excellent. As I've said before, dark and in some parts, gruesome.

Spain, 1944. Officially, the Civil War has been over for five years, but a small group of rebels fights on unbroken in the northern mountains of Navarra. Dreamy 10-year-old Ofelia moves to Navarra with her delicate, pregnant mother Carmen, to become acquainted with her new stepfather, Captain Vidal, a Fascist officer under orders to rid the territory of rebels. Ofelia, who is fascinated by fairy tales, discovers an overgrown, tumbledown labyrinth behind the mill. In the heart of the labyrinth she meets Pan, an ancient satyr who claims to know her true identity and her secret destiny. But first, she must complete three tasks before the moon grows full. And no one must know: not her ailing mother, or her new friend, Mercedes. Time is running out, for Ofelia and for the rebels. Both will have to battle hardship and cruelty in order to gain their freedom. But, who can be trusted in a time of lies and danger? Is Pan telling the truth...? And if not, who is?

Yes. Am recommending this movie to ye people who have not watched it, amid protests of other people who are calling me out-of-touch with the movie world. Haha. Sucks to you.

This is my favourite monster from the movie I reckon. It's so cute.

Some other pictures below.

Beautiful beautiful beautiful.

So, I've noticed tons of bloggers using Advertlets. I've actually registered but being such a noob, I did not know how to use it (Go on, LAUGH!) so I left my account there and didn't touch it for some time. Anyway, I think I shall not be a lazy person and start learning how to use Advertlets to actually earn money. So, ye people who are Advertlet-users, please teach me how to work this thing so I can generate cash to support my spendings and such. Thank you. And one of those people I mean, is you, Aizzat. HAHA!

So, I received some news about CNY today. Apparently, the very experienced receptionist working with me will be on leave for a whole week after the first four days of CNY. Which means, I will be left alone, yet again and have to work with another person who does not originally work in the counter. Which is a very, erm, hard situation, see. And why the heck do I not get leave for CNY huh? I have more new clothes compared to days off. Wtf. Think of all the visitations I am forced to miss. Yes, actually I am feeling sort of discontented with only 4 days off but I shall force myself to think of the money. The. Money. THE. MONEY. Okay. It's not working. =/

And can killing thy neighbour be made legal? I have this urge to strangle them bare-handed. Especially when they have company who park outside YOUR HOUSE GATE, start having casual conversations with them and think that them STUPID neighbours own the whole block.

Damn. Now the company thinks my house is a convenient parking spot for him. Idiot.

Till then.
