Alright. Some elaboration on my one-week KL trip. Now, as mum said, the main purpose of the trip was to see and support the SJSMMB who were also participating in the KLWMBC. However, this did not stop us from going shopping everyday. =D If Miri starts having more shopping complexes and such, then people would not have to go all the way to KL for good bargains, yes?
So, first off, some KLWMBC summary. Overall, it was a good change seeing these international bands performing since they have something fresh which local bands lack. As stated before, Pupuk Kaltim was my favourite overall. Owh, and watching VI perform live was fantastic as well! Man, they did put on an entertaining show with a military sort of theme going on. As for Sultanah Asma, the 2nd runner-up in the entire competiton, they were really good as well and deserve what they got. Go, girl power!
To our dear SJSMMB, you guys have improved a lot but of course, more improvements can be done in the future, yes? In my opinion, I thought you guys could have gotten a better rank though. Ah well. What has passed is gone and for now, do continue to strive to reach the summit. =)
Had an oppurtunity to see VI too during this trip. The bands gathered there for their final tune-ups before the preliminary rounds since the school is just next to the stadium they were competing at. Like the old-school feel of this school. Haha.

Apart from the preliminary rounds, there was also a street parade. The pics above show the SJSMMB all dressed up in traditional costumes of the races found in Sarawak. They put on an interesting performance but didn't manage to secure the top three placings (they got fourth instead). It's a pity cos I really expected them to get something out of this street parade. Ah well.
Alrighty, aside from the competiton buzz, I also found time to..

...Eat. =D
We only had one proper meal there I think and the proper meal was always good. =)
..Shop too. Bought myself...
Clothes =D. To be saved up for Chinese New Year, according to mom.

New wallet since my old one is well, old.

Earrings. Went to the Curve the other day and there was this stall selling earrings for the mere price of RM 1 !!!!!!!!!!! The earrings weren't super fugly ones that nobody would want to buy but most of them were gorgeous. If I had more time there, I could have spent RM 10 just like that. However, we had a movie to catch so I only bought 2. The other 3 pairs were purchased at Sungei Wang which were 3 for RM 10. Yes, I have a tendency to choose roundish earrings. Love their shape. Haha.Apart from that, books, leggings, nail polish and shoes were also some of the things we bought. I bought a pair of black heels for only RM 19 at Times Square =D In Miri, it's kind of hard for me to find shoes since I have broad feet but most shoes I tried on in KL fit fine. There was also a dilemma to purchase another pair of brown heels but I chose not to in the end. Actually, I kind of regret saying No to another pair of shoes. Hmmph.

Got myself a pair of Mary Jane crocs, just like the one above. Yes, they are comfortable and I love the colour.

This is obviously not my legs.
I didn't know that crocs cannot be prefect fits until the sales lady told me. She said that the front of your feet cannot touch the end of the shoe whereas the back part cannot touch the back of the shoe. Fascinating.Overall, shopping was good but you do get tired of the crowd after awhile so I am relieved to be back in Miri again. It is a teensy bit weird that I have not heard a peep about future gatherings and such. Aiya. Let's not be lazy and start planning!Owh digressing a little. I am still jobless. Yes, there were plans to actually work in CA but then they fell through and here I am jobless. Now, without a job, I would not be able to get a new phone, as planned next year or to do/buy whatever it is that I want. Please pray that I do get a job soon. One which I will enjoy doing anyway. =)Sooo, our flight back got delayed from 7 pm till 9.15 pm on the 18th of Dec. Typical Air Asia wouldn't you say? Thank goodness we weren't flying back alone. My mom's friend and her daughter were also flying back with us so it was good to have company. Anyway, when the announcement was made, we had already checked in so we couldn't get outside to takeaway and food which was plain awful. So, we fed our hunger pans with chocolates and other tidbits while watching this cantonese drama on TV2.The smell emmitting from McD was driving us crazy and we were all having cravings for it. It was a 'so near yet so far' sort of thing and we were bummed that we had check in too early. After a while, there was this announcement stating that the passengers on the flight back to Miri were entitled to food vouchers. As we were in line waiting to collect the voucher, we started guessing what sort of food we would be getting. The guesses ranged from sandwiches to doughnuts to curry puffs. However, when we received the food voucher, we discovered that we had received a RM 10 McD food voucher!! RM 10!!! =D
Sandra, my sis & I with the food voucher at McD.Yep. We were allowed to go out from the waiting area to buy food. Seriously, with these food vouchers, I wouldn't have minded having the flight delayed more. Haha.On second thought, maybe not.

Happy people=Happy mealsSomehow, I still feel very lethargic eversince I got back from KL. I think I sleep too much these days. Hmmph.A gathering at my house yesterday with my aunt, cousins and my mom's friend (the same one who was on the same flight with us) led the kids to a night out while the adults stayed in and chat.
First round: Ice-cream at Dessert's.
Second round: Char Kuey Tiaw at the old market.
Eating too much. Eating too much. Eating too much. Tsk Tsk.
